Big Dippers

This 45 minute class is for boys and girls 3 years of age, and children will attend class independently. Each week we experience the gymnastics equipment through a unique theme (i.e. dinosaurs, the circus, the zoo) designed to inspire and encourage physical and social development. We rotate our equipment each week to feature all of the Olympic gymnastics events (vault, bars, beam, floor, parallel bars, rings). Although we focus on gymnastics, our Big Dippers learn valuable social-emotional skills like sharing, following directions, and independence from parents.
Fun gymnastics skills taught in our Big Dippers class include:
- Forward and backward rolls
- Beginning cartwheels
- Front support on the bar
- Various walks on the high beam
Children will also develop social skills including:
- Following multiple step directions
- Interactively positively with instructors and classmates
- Turn taking
