Tumbling for a Cause: How Your Open Gym Fun Supports Omaha’s Youth this February!
At Metro Stars, we believe that gymnastics is about more than just sticking the landing—it’s about lifting each other up! Our “Metro Stars Gives Back” program is our way of sharing that contagious enthusiasm with our Omaha neighbors. Every single month, we pick a local non-profit to cheer for, and 20% of all Open Gym proceeds go directly to their mission. It’s the ultimate win-win: your kiddos get to burn off that extra energy on our trampolines, and together, we help make our community a little brighter.
Partner Spotlight: Youth Emergency Services (YES) This February, we are so proud to partner with Youth Emergency Services (YES). For over 50 years, YES has been the only organization in Omaha solely focused on helping youth (ages 12–24) facing homelessness and crisis. They aren’t just a shelter; they are a lifeline that empowers young people to become self-sufficient and safe.
Why YES Matters:
- The Need: In the Omaha area, at least 300 youth lack a stable and safe place to live on any given night.
- The Impact: Last year alone, YES served nearly 2,000 youth, providing everything from hot meals and laundry at their Drop-In Center to long-term support in their Transitional Living and Maternity homes.
- Safe Spaces: They provided safety for over 100 youth through their “Safe Place” program in 2024, ensuring no young person has to face their darkest moments alone.
As YES says, their goal is to ensure youth are “Safe, Supported, and Self-Sufficient.” By joining us for Open Gym this month, you are helping provide the “critically needed resources” that make that possible!

January Recap: A Big Win for Grandpa’s Pocket! Before we leap into February, we have to celebrate a massive success from last month! In January, we partnered with Grandpa’s Pocket, a local organization dedicated to helping single-parent families, soldiers, and seniors with the “gaps” that other programs might miss—like emergency car repairs, daycare help, or home fixes.
Because of our amazing Metro Stars families, we were able to donate $2,798.00 to help them restore dignity and create brighter futures for families in need. Thank you for “owning it” and helping us start the year with such a heart for giving!
